Our Story
We have 20 years of experience
breeding best friends
Both Peter and Laura were raised on Dairy Farms. Our younger versions learned extensive knowledge about genetics, breeding practices, and animal care. Today we breed, raise, and show Belgian horses, we raise a few calves, and Golden Retriever puppies. We are passionate about breeding. We strive to produce good quality happy healthy family friends and companions at affordable prices. Our goal is to breed balance. Quality is our top priority. Laura Maher is a member of the Canadian and American Kennel clubs. Both Peter and Laura are members of the Canadian Belgian
Horse Association.

About Our Dogs
Our moms have all been home raised and bred. They have been carefully selected for temperament. We are breeding only excellent and good hip values. All adults are OFA certified breeding dogs. We breed best friends and companions. We have Canadian and American champion bloodlines in our group but breeding puppies that make a difference in someone’s lives is more important to us- our puppies are service quality with stellar dispositions. Each of our moms has an endearing quality that breeds through to their offspring. We don’t show our dogs, at this time in our lives we are busy showing a six horse hitch, but yes someday we will enter the show ring with our dogs.

Nutrition and Exercise
We proudly feed and recommend TLC Pet Food. Supporting the healthy growth and development of our puppies starts with the Whole Life Puppy Food formula, balanced in nutrition for a foundation of lifelong health. Our adults receive the Whole Life Dog Food, a three part protein split of lamb, chicken, and fish formulas.

Exercise is an important part of our program. Everyone goes outside every day for fresh air, exercise, and fun. If the weather doesn’t co-operate, we have an indoor arena to play in. It’s important for dogs to be dogs.
Testing
All of our adult dogs undergo the 4 key health screening testing through the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA). Hips, elbows, eyes and hearts are certified. All of our adults also undergo a full panel of DNA testing through Embark to minimize the potential risk of developing degenerative or dysplastic health issues. The ultimate goal is to use this technology available to us to create healthy puppies.

Many new clients are first time pet owners and can benefit from our knowledge and experiences.
