“My husband and I reached out to Laura and Peter when our daughter was 3, and our son was 2. Our daughter feared all dogs after being bitten by a lab when she was 18months old at a family gathering. We did a lot of research around types of dogs, and what would be a good fit for our family. It was going to be our first dog for both of us, so we had a lot of questions! Originally we were a bit apprehensive, as we had no way of knowing whether it was going to be a con or not, and there was little to be said about the ad. Now that I know Laura, I understand why. Her personality, and their standards speak for themselves -- they didn't need the bells and whistles.

I remember Laura responding to my email and requesting a phone interview. I thought 'an interview for a dog??' Interesting. However, the interview spoke to how much she cares about her animals. Laura was easy to talk to and the conversation flowed for almost an hour. I had many questions on my end, I must admit.
Laura said one thing I will never forget, "If you choose to rehome the puppy, she must come home to me for me to rehome her as I feel fit." I thought, 'wow, how amazing that she cares so much. This is so much more than an income for her.'
Over the next few months as we waited for our litter. I swarmed poor Laura with questions, requests for puppy photos, updates, and recommendations on what to buy in preparation.
When the day finally came to pick up our puppy, we went down as a family and we were impressed by the cleanliness and warmth of her home. We welcomed our beautiful new addition to our family, along with a prep package that
made the nurse in me so happy!
Laura sent us home with common tips and tricks, must have medications to have on hand in case of an emergency, vet records, pet insurance information, and she encouraged us to reach out if we had any questions.
Did I mention my puppy came home socialized, and 'trained' for lights out at 7pm?! My brand new puppy was asleep before I had my children settled for the night. It was pure bliss.
Fast forward to 2 years later, we just recently brought home our second golden, who is 5 months old. I still talk to Laura often! She loves to stay in touch, loves updated photos, and is always so helpful when I run into a problem or concern! I have recommended her to friends, family, even neighbors who have all been pleased with their choice to reach out to Hyjak Goldens for a new furry friend!

We were invited to their farm to see for ourselves how immaculate the grounds were and how well adjusted the pups were in their own private little Bunkie. The puppies, as well as their adult dogs, are very well cared for.
A veterinarian inspects each pup before it goes to their new home. Laura is a wealth of information when it comes to Goldens. Each pup goes home with a whole package of health guidelines, and tips on everything from feeding, training, etc. Plus, the pup comes with one month of medical insurance compliments of Hyjak.
The first time I called Laura, she asked me several questions as to what we were looking for in a pup. I explained that my husband and I were seniors and, if possible, we were looking for a female that was a little laid back as apposed to one that was crazy active. After we made the deposit, she responded with "I am very happy to be able to raise your little girl for you." That really warmed my heart!
